Hi.
Thanks for stopping by.
I'm a storyteller who has had the chance to share stories from India, the US, and Cuba. Often drawn to the visual arts, literary culture, and the small, everyday moments that reveal how people live and create, I’m especially interested in quieter, slightly slower stories—ones that might otherwise slip through news cycles. My aim is to try and find ways to make India’s many layers feel more accessible to a global audience.
In December 2021, a reported personal essay I wrote on the cultural phenomenon of keeping cats as pets, was published in Cat People, an anthology published by Simon & Schuster India. The book is available on Amazon, and at most local bookstores in India. :) In November 2018, I was accepted into the Out of Eden Walk & National Geographic Society’s Slow Journalism Workshop where I was mentored by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Paul Salopek and visual journalist Arati Kumar Rao.
I hold an M.A. from the Department of English at the University of Delhi, and an M.S. in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. My work has also been published in Mint/Mint Lounge, The New Indian Express, The Voice of Fashion, The Hindu, Literary Hub, Hindustan Times, and Pacific Standard. Some pieces I’ve loved working on over the years are on this site.
